Q: HOW DO I USE WIFIREMOTE?

To use WiFiRemote you need to install Free WiFiRemotes Server Software on your PC/Mac and install the client software on your Nokia/Android/Blackberry phone. Run the server software on your PC/Mac and note down the IP Address displayed by the server software. Run the client software on your smartphone and enter this IP Address on the connection screen to start controlling your PC/Mac remotely.

Q: HOW TO INSTALL SERVER SOFTWARE ON A PC WITH Windows (Including Windows 7)

Just download and unzip the Windows Server File (available on download page). Double click to install using Windows Installer. IMPORTANT:Please ensure that TCP port 8337 is not blocked by the Windows firewall.

Q: HOW TO INSTALL SERVER SOFTWARE ON A MAC?

The server software for Mac OS X is bundled as a standard DMG file. Just download and install as you install other Mac applications. Make sure that when you run, you allow incoming connections as this is required for the clients smartphones to connect to server

Q: I TRY TO CONNECT BUT HAVE A CONNECTION PROBLEM,WHY?

If you have installed client software on the smartphone and server software on PC/Mac but the smartphone is not connecting with the server, just make sure that Firewall or antivirus on your PC/Mac is not blocking your server software.

Q: IS WIFIREMOTE CLIENT COMPATIBLE WITH NON-TOUCH PHONES

The current client version is compatible with the Touch phones only. In future we will release it for non-touch phones.
